Web marketing that works – it’s something every business owner wants and it’s the title of a new book by Adam Franklin and Toby Jenkins.
Now before I continue with this book review, I should tell you I know the authors and consider them friends.
A few years ago I was given the opportunity in a marketing role I held at the time to create a new digital marketing strategy. Blank canvas marketing opportunities inspire me – the opportunity to create the future. I enjoy the goal and strategy development, I also enjoy overlaying the creative components.
Like many marketers in that situation I suspect, I set about looking for a framework that could be the template for building this new online marketing world. I must have spoken to at least 20 providers, all who claimed expertise in web marketing. I was disappointed with what I found – some were great with coding, some were great with marketing messages, but no one offered an integrated digital marketing framework. Then I found Adam and Toby and their magic web strategy framework. Needless to say I hired them!
My favourite component of the book is also presented in a free template you can access here: Web Strategy Planning Template.
I have no hesitation in recommending it to marketers and business owners who want to maximise the value they receive from there spend on digital marketing.
The book is base on practical experience with some smart marketing thinking. It presents a whole world view of what your digital marketing world could look like.
The downside to the book will be found by marketers who are looking for quick digital marketing fix. I don’t think one exists. Like most things in life, what you get out of something is usually a reflection of what you put into it. Digital marketing is now a marketing specialisation within itself.
Web marketing that works is in print and e-book editions.
