Adviser Marketing Week was founded by Peter Bowman. AM Week was founded to bridge the gap between professional advisers and those in their community that need advice. Marketing involves everything that happens between the adviser and their client.

Peter has been working in financial services marketing since 2001, commencing his marketing career with Monitor Money Corporation. Monitor Money was Australia’s first fee for service financial planning business. Since then, he has worked for both independently owned and institutionally owned advisory and investment groups, including leading their marketing and communications teams.

In 2013 he founded Adviser Marketing Week, a boutique marketing consultancy servicing financial planners and professional service providers. The consultancy delivers bespoke and full-service marketing solutions. Today, Peter is a reliable and trusted source of knowledge for his clients and has worked across a range of marketing and communications issues.

He is also the author of Service 7 (Publisher, Short Stop Press), a book written specifically for Australian Financial Planners and other professional service providers to help deliver experiences clients will love. He is currently working on his second book.

“I enjoy working with advice providers to help them create, build and develop the businesses they want to. Marketing might best be described as the ability to meet the needs, wants and desires of your clients better than anyone else and profitably. To me, service marketing delivers when great communication meets great service design” says Peter.

Peter’s experience extends over a number of areas including reputation development and management, brand management, campaign management and business development. He also works on client communications, events, service design and delivery and can support customer service. Peter can also deliver customised seminars, workshops and conference presentations.

He is a Certified Practicing Marketer, which is the recognised designation of The Australian Marketing Institute. Peter also holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing/Human Resource Management) and a Bachelor of Business (Honours Class 1). Peter has been a judge in the Australian Marketing Institute’s Marketing Excellence Awards. He maintains his skills through ongoing professional development, just like his advice clients do.
